PRE-SEASON FRIENDLY CONFIRMED
Fans of the Wightlink Raiders will get their first chance to see their new look team in action this season when Jeremy Cornish's men take on local rivals Wightlink Tigers this Saturday 4th September.
The team have been training hard in the last two weeks and are set to unveil their new look to a big crowd at Ryde Arena. Face off is at the earlier time of 5.30pm...as Ryde's Illuminated Carnival will leave the seafront later that evening.
For those not joining in the carnival celebrations there will be a chance to meet the players in the Raiders Bar directly after the game.
The first ENL match of the regular season is a week later as the Cardiff ENL Devils make the trip to Ryde Arena on Saturday 11th September.
TOBY TESTIMONIAL POSTPONED
The decision has been made this week to postpone Toby Cooley's testimonial match until the end of the season. The game was due to be played on 8th September but because of the unavailability of a number of players Toby has asked that we switch the game until after the EPL and ENL play-offs in April. Efforts are now being made to hastily arrange a pre season friendly and details will be posted as soon as possible.
The Raiders first league game is at home to Cardiff Devils at Ryde Arena on Saturday 11th September.
The Wightlink Raiders supporters club would like to announce that their Annual General Meeting will take place next Friday 13th August.
It will be held in the Raiders bar at Ryde Arena with a start time of 7.30pm for 8pm.
